DMCA & Copyright Policy
DMCA and Copyright Policy for the Silent PRogression network.
1.Introduction#
Silent PRogression Gaming Community ("SPR", "we", "our", or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of creators, publishers, developers, and copyright holders.
This DMCA & Copyright Policy explains how copyright concerns may be reported and how SPR responds to claims of alleged copyright infringement occurring through the SPR platform.
Although SPR operates from the European Union, we voluntarily follow principles similar to those established under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), while also complying with applicable European Union and Hellenic copyright legislation.
This policy applies to all content made available through the SPR ecosystem, including:
- the official website;
- community articles;
- uploaded media;
- screenshots;
- images;
- videos;
- downloadable files;
- forum content (when available);
- hosted community content;
- any future SPR-operated services.
2.Respect for Intellectual Property#
SPR encourages members to share original work and to respect the intellectual property rights of others.
Users may only upload or publish content when they:
- own the copyright;
- have obtained permission from the copyright owner;
- are otherwise legally authorized to publish the material.
Publishing content that infringes another person's copyright is prohibited.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- unauthorized copies of articles;
- copyrighted artwork;
- commercial photographs;
- music recordings;
- software;
- videos;
- game assets distributed without permission;
- any other copyrighted material published without authorization.
Nothing in this Policy limits any rights provided by applicable copyright exceptions or limitations under relevant legislation.
3.Copyrighted Content#
SPR may host user-generated content that is uploaded by members of the community.
SPR does not actively review every item of user-generated content before publication.
If SPR becomes aware that specific content allegedly infringes copyright, we may:
- temporarily restrict access to the content;
- request additional information from the parties involved;
- investigate the reported material;
- remove the content where appropriate;
- take further action consistent with these Terms of Service and applicable law.
SPR reserves the right to act in good faith to protect both copyright holders and members of the community while a report is being reviewed.
4.Reporting Copyright Infringement#
If you believe that material available through the SPR platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright notice.
Reports should be made in good faith and should contain sufficient information to allow us to identify the material in question.
Submitting knowingly false or misleading copyright claims may have legal consequences under applicable law.
SPR reviews each report individually and aims to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
5.Information Required in a Copyright Notice#
To help us process a copyright complaint efficiently, please include the following information:
- your full name;
- your contact email address;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- the exact URL or location of the allegedly infringing material on the SPR platform;
- a description explaining why you believe the material infringes your rights;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- your electronic or physical signature.
Incomplete notices may delay the review process.
SPR may request additional information before taking action where reasonably necessary.
6.Counter Notification#
If your content has been removed or restricted because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was made in error, you may submit a counter notification.
Your counter notification should include:
- your full name;
- your contact information;
- identification of the removed material;
- the location where the material previously appeared;
- a statement explaining why you believe the removal was incorrect;
- a statement made in good faith that you believe the content was removed due to mistake or misidentification;
- your electronic or physical signature.
SPR may forward your counter notification to the original complainant where appropriate.
Submitting a counter notification does not guarantee that removed content will be restored.
Each case is reviewed individually based on the available information and applicable law.
7.Repeat Infringers#
SPR reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
When determining whether a user qualifies as a repeat infringer, SPR may consider factors including:
- the number of substantiated copyright complaints;
- the severity of the violations;
- evidence of intentional infringement;
- cooperation during investigations;
- previous moderation history.
SPR may also suspend access while investigations are ongoing where necessary to protect the rights of copyright holders.
8.Third-Party Content#
The SPR platform may reference, display, or link to third-party content for informational, editorial, compatibility, educational, or community purposes.
Examples include:
- game titles;
- trademarks;
- logos;
- screenshots;
- artwork;
- developer documentation;
- official game assets used in accordance with applicable permissions or licensing.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all third-party intellectual property remains the property of its respective owners.
Nothing within the SPR platform should be interpreted as claiming ownership of third-party intellectual property.
If you believe that any third-party material is being used improperly, please contact us before pursuing formal legal action so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter where appropriate.
9.Changes to this Policy#
SPR may update this DMCA & Copyright Policy from time to time in order to reflect:
- changes in applicable legislation;
- developments in copyright law;
- changes to platform functionality;
- operational improvements;
- new community services.
Whenever material changes are introduced, the Last Updated date at the beginning of this document will be revised.
Where appropriate, significant updates may also be announced through official SPR communication channels.
